Lakeland Alberta Winter Games Logo

Terms of Use of the Lakeland 2010 Alberta Winter Games Logo

The Lakeland 2010 Alberta Winter Games logo is an integral communication tool for the Games. The logo represents the strength of our regional community, the partnerships of the Games, the activity, competition and movement of the athletes, and honours the year of the Games. As such, the logo and its integrity must be maintained and is only to be used in the approved manners as listed below. The logo has unique proportions that must not be altered in any way. When the logo is reduced or enlarged, it should be treated as one unit. The logo must not be reduced beyond 4 cm in height and 5 cm in width. A minimum clear zone that matches the length of the athlete’s front leg on the exterior of the blue ring must be maintained. The foundation of the logo emphasizes the unique partnership our area has with the Department of National Defence in 4 Wing Cold Lake. This partnership is emphasized in the base for the logo which is developed around the Royal Canadian Air Force Roundel. The solid blue circle represents the unity of our numerous partners involved in the games, and the unity of the province that occurs via the Games. The stylized athlete that extends beyond the blue circle emphasizes movement and action and forms an “X” at the heart of the logo that represents the roman numeral 10, for 2010. The Lakeland title represents the City of Cold Lake, Town of Bonnyville, Municipal District of Bonnyville, and Canadian Forces Base 4 Wing. Copies of the Games logo are available from the Games office or on the website.

The Games Logo may be used by sponsoring organizations without explicit prior permission so long as it stands alone and is not altered or combined with other images. Common forms may include, but are not limited to, project websites, member affiliated sites, clothing and informational material.

Non-sponsoring organizations may not use the Games Logo in any fashion to show affiliation with the Games without written permission from the Games staff.
